Sukritihas distributed 16000 of Sanitary Napkins from Feb 2022 to March2022-at various places and schools, especially in South 24 Parganas, Midnapore, Purulia, and urban areasover the past few years.Below are some of the latest visited ones:
- Distributed 1500 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the girls/women of Monihara village in Purulia District
- Distributed 2000 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the Students of Kasba Balika Vidyalay.
- Distributed 2000 packets of Sanitary Napkins to Subid Ali Girls High School students, Maheshtala
- Distributed 2000 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the women of Narayanpur Village, Namkhana, 24 Parganas
- Distributed 1500 packets of Sanitary napkins to the Women of Durgapur Village, Namkhana.
- Distributed 2500 packets of Sanitary napkins to school children of Krishnachandrapur High School. Distribution at Krishnachaandrapur High School
- Distributed 2500 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the women of Pindrui village, Midnapur district.
- Distributed 2000 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the students of Maheshtala Girls High School
Diversified production of maternity napkinsand supply to different hospitals has helped us reach a sustainable level concerningfinancial benefits.
Free distribution to under privileged women and school children and subsequently avail napkins to the under privileged women at a very affordable cost
Our aim was to impart awareness on the importance of sanitary napkins’ menstrual hygiene to village women and school children. Initially, give them sanitary napkins free of cost and finally make Sanitary Napkins available to them at a meager and affordable price.
The majority of the people in India neither have the means nor the luxury to pick and choose. The most commonly available sanitary product – pads, are not monetarily feasible for most menstruators.
Our mission was to arrest the period of poverty in villages and schools of West Bengal, especially in South 24 Parganas, Midnapore and Purulia, and urban areas.
Sukriti has distributed 16000 Sanitary Napkins at various places and Schools, details of which are as described below:
- Distributed 1500 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the girls/women of Monihara village in Purulia District 0n 17.1.2022
- Distributed 2000 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the Students of Kasba Balika Vidyalay on 15.2.2022.
- Distributed 2000 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the students of Subid Ali Girls High School, Maheshtala on 18.2.2022.
- Distributed 2000 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the women of Narayanpur Village, Namkhana, 24 Parganas on 19.2.2022.
- Distributed 1500 packets of Sanitary napkins to the Women of Durgapur Village, Namkhana on 20.2.2022.
- Distributed 2500 packets of Sanitary napkins to school children of Krishnachandrapur High School on 23.2.2022. Distribution at Krishnachaandrapur High School
- Distributed 2500 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the women of Pindrui village, Midnapur district on 18.3.2022.
- Distributed 2000 packets of Sanitary Napkins to the students of Maheshtala Girls High School
Productio of Maternity Napkin and Supply to Different Hospitals to Achieve Sustainability of The Unit.
Moreover, it will help our Napkin Unit where women are working to reach a sustainable level as positive response has been received from two hospitals, they have shown interest to keep the Maternity pads (Sahelee) in their medicine shop.
Through Various Seminar and visits in person we could reach underprivileged women and their family members and able to make them understand hygienic way of Menstrual management using Sanitary Napkin over rag etc. The impact of the same is quite encouraging . Almost 75% of them started using Sanitary Napkin.
We would like to continue such distribution programe for further period.
